Eligibility
- International applicants globally are welcome to apply for this fellowship.
- Applicants must be employed outside the United Kingdom and do not have United Kingdom citizenship.
- All applicants must have a Ph.D. or be in the final phase of completing a Ph.D. and the viva before the fellowship starts.
- Fellows’ total active full-time postdoctoral degree should not exceed seven years upon time of application, this includes honorary positions, visiting researcher positions, teaching roles, and industry research involvement.
- Career breaks should be clearly outlined in the application, stating start and finish dates, (maternity or paternity leave).
- Applicants who are not currently working are still eligible to apply, however, they must provide details of their previous supervisor.
- Applicants will demonstrate their ability in spoken and written English.

- Fellows who are already living, working, or pursuing research in the United Kingdom are not eligible to apply for the British Academy International Fellowship.
